Dear Friends,

I am pleased to report that, with your help and the support of the College, our sponsors, students and staff, The Hellenic Institute continues to actively promote the diachronic and interdisciplinary study of Hellenism at Royal Holloway, University of London.

In 2018 we will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary and we are currently planning a number of special events to mark the occasion.  We hope you will be able to join us and invite you to keep up to date with developments by visiting the News and Events page of The Hellenic Institute website.

We are also aiming to increase the range of scholarships and grants available to our students and to raise funds for our newly-established Centre for Greek Diaspora Studies. To date, we have asked Friends of The Hellenic Institute to contribute a modest annual subscription of £15 which many, but not all of us, have consistently provided. We are particularly grateful to those Friends who have made additional donations which have enabled our work to promote Hellenic Studies to the widest possible audience.

In order to ensure the continuation of The Hellenic Institute’s activities going forward, we kindly ask all of you who would like to renew your membership in the Friends of The Hellenic Institute to send us your £15 subscription for 2017, and if you wish, to add an additional donation for which gift aid is available.

We look forward to seeing you at our forthcoming events, including the Exhibition and Public Lecture by Michael Heslop on 23 January 2017 and the Sixteenth Annual Hellenic Lecture by Dr Alexis Alexandris on 16 March 2017.
