Niki Marangou Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Department of Classics at King’s College London is pleased to announce a new Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department, tenable for two years, starting in October 2016. This award has been made possible thanks to Mr Constantis Candounas and is generously funded by the A.G. Leventis Foundation, in memory of the inspirational Cypriot poet, novelist, painter and bookshop-owner Niki Marangou, who died in 2013.

The Niki Marangou Postdoctoral Fellow will be appointed from 01 October 2016 at 0.5FTE, to work under the direction of the Koraes Professor of Modern Greek and Byzantine History, Language and Literature in the Department of Classics at King’s College London. The Fellow will have primary responsibility for successful completion of a research project on the literary and cultural contribution of the Greek Cypriot poet, novelist and painter Niki Marangou within the period of the Fellowship.

The selection process will include a panel interview.
Interviews are scheduled to be held in mid-June 2016 TBC
