Dr Ariadni Moutafidou
Ariadni Moutafidou is Adjunct Professor at the Hellenic Open University (European History, Studies in European Civilization). She served as Visiting Associate Professor at Haifa University (2004), Stanley J. Seeger Visiting Research Fellow at Princeton University (2003), Lecturer at Vienna University (1995–2003), Research Associate at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (1998–2003), and Adjunct Professor at the Open University of Cyprus (2010–12). In the years 2005-2009 she also cooperated with the Haifa University within the framework of the project Greek Big Merchants and Entrepreneurs in the Mediterranean Economic World in the 19th century. She is the author of a book entitled Beitrag zur Konflikt- und Allianzforschung vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Die Politik Österreich-Ungarns gegenüber dem osmanisch-griechischen Krieg von 1897 (Hamburg 2003). She published numerous articles on European, Greek and Ottoman History in international academic journals. She was invited to give lectures at the Universities of Princeton, Haifa, the Jewish University of Jerusalem, the Bar-Ilan University, the Universities of Vienna, Graz, Colonia, Brno, Cyprus, and the Aristotle University of Salonica, etc.
