Call for Papers

Submissions are invited for the 1st Annual International Symposium on Modern Greece: Business, Economic, Social, Cultural and Political Aspects. The aim of the symposium is to bring together young academic scholars and postgraduate students in the U.K. and other countries to share their research experiences and enhance their knowledge on modern Greece with emphasis on Business, Economic, Social, Cultural and Political Aspects. Papers that examine historical themes, e.g. by emphasizing the continuity of classical thought into contemporary disciplines, are more than welcome.

Abstracts of no more than 300 words should be submitted to via email only (education@atiner.gr) to Dr. Gregory T. Papanikos, Director, ATINER & Visiting Professor, Department of Management, University of Strathclyde or Dr. Sharon Bolton, Head & Professor, Department of Management, University of Strathclyde Head, Management Research Unit, ATINER by 31st of March 2011.

Please include a title, you current position, affiliation and three keywords. Decisions are reached within four weeks from the day of submission. The registration fee is 25 euro for Graduate (Ph.D. and Master) Students and 50 euro for all other participants.

Special sessions will be devoted to Postgraduate students and three awards will be given to the three best presentations (golden, silver and bronze) of Master Students and three of the Best Ph.D. Students of 1000, 600 and 400 euro respectively. Excellent master students will be considered for Ph.D. research assistantships of up to 10000 euro tenable at the Department of Management, University of Strathclyde. This is an annual award and it is renewable for additional two years based upon student’s progress.

Selected papers will be published in one of the book publications of ATINER after the conference following the standard procedures of the refereeing process.
