Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) networking grant on the Greek crisis

Professor Dimitris Tziovas has been awarded an AHRC grant to lead a networking project on ‘The cultural politics of the Greek crisis’ which aims to stimulate debate among academics, research students, journalists, artists and writers on the implications of the economic crisis for Greek culture and identity and foster an interdisciplinary dialogue among historians, literature and performing arts scholars, cultural theorists, political scientists and anthropologists on the ways in which economic crises impact on cultural practices and identity constructions.

This dialogue will highlight the virtually uncharted cultural aspects of the Greek economic crisis by exploring the interconnections between economy, culture and identity. This project runs from September 2014 until August 2016.

The project website has just launched at http://culpolgreekcrisis.com
